We want to sincerely “thank you” for visiting today, and our prayer for you is “May the LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you.” Numbers 6:25
We believe salvation is a free gift from God and is made possible by His grace through faith in the person and works of Jesus Christ. There are some basic truths that highlight our need for salvation and how we can be saved.
1. God is Creator
2. God is holy. Sin cannot be associated or related to Him.
3. Because of man's original sin (Adam and Eve's disobedience in the garden) we are all born in sin. We can do nothing to save ourselves, no matter how "good" we try to be or think we are.
4. God is loving and wants a relationship with us because we are made in His image, and we are His prized creation. Because of our sin, we are separated from Him.
5. God's holiness had to be satisfied before we could be reconciled in relationship with Him, so His love compelled Him to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to live as a sinless man, die on a cross as the payment for all sin, and be raised on the third day, defeating sin and death for us all.
6. When we repent (turn away) of sin and declare our faith in these truths, we are saved.
These truths can be summed up in the Bible...
Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
1 John 4:10: "In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins."
Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life In Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 10:9-10: "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."
Acts 2:21: "And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
